Tool Support for Design Methods - The DOCASE Object - Oriented Approach

چکیده
Sophisticated design tools should ‘understand’ the methods underlying the design process, not only in terms of syntax but in terms of the semantics of design ‘elements’ and ‘steps’ and their relations, etc. Despite the need for such ‘comprehensive method support’, at present only few design tools support much more than the syntax of design elements; most graphical tools mingle design methods and graphical representations into one tool, and little emphasis has been put on the use of toolbuilding-tools.
